Right well yesterday went to 2 different rollers yesterday, my mate had his Integra DC2 mapped yesterday he made 466bhp, what a machine, took a while to map his and he had his boost by gear fine tuned, would of been over 500bhp but his injectors were running at 95% duty.

After that drove down to SRR to see Simon and Charlie, i was not going to bother with getting mine mapped as i have a header leak, it looks as if there is a hole in the collector, but i am going to stop spending on the car now due to some other things going on. But decided to talk myself into it and got the car mapped and was still very pleased considering the mani leak

Charlie and Simon said it has a lot more to give but the manifold was causing issues. It only made 396bhp but CJ the life saver herd me saying i wanted the 400bhp mark and came over to speak to Charlie as and said do one more run, but Charlie said it would make no difference, CJ lifted the bonnet for one last run and it made 406.2bhp.. With a exhaust leak......

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/...psfc809f2e.jpg

Most importantly the car is still running and even though everyone says that it is really laggy i think it is fine for me.. I love it...

Hongkongfooi 20-12-2013 10:56 AM

great result:ok:

bonner 20-12-2013 11:50 AM

Really was starting to think whats the point in keeping the Scoob, but i remember why now!!! The car is amazing and even in the condition as of now.. I love it. Had someone actually stop me the other day just to have a look at the car.. And mine is nothing special at all..

Well Washed, clay bar'd, polished and waxed the old boy today. And now he is all tucked in.. First time i have used a clay bar before, bit scary but made sure he was well lubricated..

Tyler 28-02-2014 04:58 PM

Cheers bud, car is still going touch wood. Just want to fix mani and get an exhaust system that is a little louder. Not too much. Debating on going back to standard mani but have it ported as the guy who rebuilt my turbo had over 470bhp out of it. But there are people that are saying that I will not really hit much.. but just want a manifold that is a bit more reliable.

Tyler 26-06-2014 11:56 PM

Well it's been a while since I have started the old boy as been busy at work and my daughter is due in 4 weeks so quickly started him up and gave him a bath and clay bar..

Thought I would do a cheeky vid too.

Subaru Impreza Terzo, mild anti lag test (406bhp) - YouTube

Now all covered up for a bit until I can be bothered to jack the engine up and either repair manifold or replace

scotty 27-06-2014 12:08 PM

If you check post 80 its home made see link below for number plate.

http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...9&postcount=80

As far as engine mods to get that power
Fully forged
Wisco Pistons
Mahle Conrods
ACL Bearings
Forged billet crank
Sti 3 heads
BC Titainium Valve springs and ally retainers
Lateral performance headders (with added crack lol)
RCM turbo up pipe
Full 3 inc down pipe with open mouth
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Nismo 740cc injectors
Simtek ecu
MD321S Hybrid turbo with GT30 core

If you are going to run sort of 350bhp and above i would get a stronger gearbox diff and clutch. I went for the 6 speed sti box with matching rear diff so changed all hubs as well to fit Brembos all round.

The list goes on bud i could talk all day about the list, 8 years of DIY work and reciepts.

ScoobyStu 27-06-2014 02:15 PM

Looks and sounds lovely mate. Great job!

To bend the Ali brackets I used the edge of a work bench, a heat gun and a rubber camping mallet.. :)

Any chance of doing a set for me and posting them to me since you know what you're doing .

scotty 09-07-2014 02:27 PM

Questions 1. Where did you get your white hoses from as looking on some websites and are asking for a extra 35% on top of normal rice.
2. How did you manage to keep both fans as I had to remove the one on the right due to the pipe work would not fit .

scooby doo 09-07-2014 02:44 PM

Loving the build mate, is the scoop oem or the taller oem style?

I will have a look for the details for the hoses when i get home bud..

As for the IC pipes you dont want to know how i orginally got it to fit.. It involved g clamps and 2 blocks of wood.... :cuckoo: Then found an easier way which is if you look at the pipe that leads to the throttle body there are 2 extra cuplers. I just cut the pip in 2 other places to allow movement..

Cheers bud, the scoop is 100% oem, want a scoop ideally that is the same hight as this one but extends further forward.

Tyler 26-10-2014 10:14 PM

Thanks Steve.

Well little update, have brought some new engine oil (millers nano drive 10w 50) just need to get an oil filter. Have also brought a engine dress up kit and also a 2005 sti powersteering steering system. They are all waiting to be installed. Then today picked up these bad boys... :) thanks to DanWRX.. What a diamond.

Defi BF series...

Bumper has also been removed and I am going to give it a good rub down and hopefully get it resprayed.

Tyler 26-10-2014 10:17 PM

Also forgot to mention I have fitted another set of RCM headers. But with a newer up pipe that I had on my old set which has a crack in the collector, so will be selling the up pipe if anyone Is interested.

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/...psjsb6bgu5.jpg

Tyler 17-12-2014 12:06 AM

Right well have not had a chance to update as been extremly busy with my first child and also extremly busy at work. Scoob was on axle stands for for good month or so.

So I have managed to fit th RCM headers and re coiled 2 of the bolt slots, also fitted another power steering pump as mine was making an awful racket, whilst out I had to re coil 2 out of the 3 securing point for the pump so only 1 bolt and the alternator guide were the only 2 holding in place.

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/...pssglrx7tp.jpg

Went to take the car for a Mot to get it Road legal and the car was over fueling like crazy, got to my mate's garage went to Mot the car then my mate said to me mot dint run out until end of Jan (what a lemon) limped the car home and messaged messaged good friend and advised it sounded like a air leak. And sure enough it was.. Me again being a lemon we will leave it at that.

Then i fitted the defi gauges, defi controller, 2005 sti steering wheel and 2005 sti hand brake leaver. Only issue I have is that the oil pressure gauge is not picking up a reading :-( don't know if it is sender or the defi controller. :(

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/...pstsjsctnn.jpg

Also have fitted an engine bolt dress up kit, well some of them any way, have not taken a picture as I am ashamed of how filthy my engine bay is.

Any way took the scoob to work a couple days and on Saturday got the misses to meet me at work for lunch as only days I have been having off is Sundays. Took a couple pictures because I am sad like that..

Next on the list when I get a chance is doing the roof lining black, spraying all the flocked bits ( need opinions on what colour) then off do either Duncan or Zen performance for a tweak as no longer have a exhaust leak

scotty 17-12-2014 12:44 AM

Mmmmmmm charcoal grey would be nice on the flocked dash and mmmmmm up pipe 3bolt :norty:

Tyler 17-12-2014 12:48 AM

Another thing I forgot to mention is I have also purchased a miltek 3" back box. I know it's not really many people's choice of exhaust but I have had my fair share of silly loud exhausts and even my jasma 3" is too loud for me.

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/...psxf3kao6k.jpg

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/...psffqs3ntb.jpg

can not wait to fit it. Don't get me wrong I may still buy a nur spec r and just have that in the garage for the odd day I am not bothered about getting a head ache. But majority of the time it will be the miltek for me.

Right well have not updated in a while as been busy. But I am in the middle of a bit of custom work, home brewed ofcourse, which I am sure is not going to be to a lots fancy. And as far as I am aware has not yet been attempted in the UK. Not sure if I will post pictures up yet as still early stages. But fingers crossed.. :)
