Thats worked out pretty well, nearly a full house!

SUBARMAN 06-05-2010 07:57 AM

Can't make this - things very hectic at the mo (and, yes, I took early retirement, and just as well I did!). I will try and catch up with Worzel soon - maybe a trip up to see him?

Also, gotta strap a matress and a couple of old tyres to the front of the car as I shall be using the A22. :angst::angst:

Hongkongfooi 11-05-2010 06:17 PM

recommend an octane booster for the trip anyone? preferably from halfrauds

Lucky 11-05-2010 06:44 PM

Steve (Worzel), Regarding repatriation, I have established that I am covered within my RAC cover, however, it has a limit of £2500 for a claim. Is this in line with yours, or any one elses for that matter??

Cheers

Yes Putline or even better NF from Rodger Clarke. I will be using this only at the Ring. If the trip this year is anything like last year nobody went that fast to be honest apart from the odd blast. So no real need for octane boost on the way there. From now on all octane boost will be known as Worzel juice. Ive a bottle put to one side just for you mate :drive: :boom:

Just had a quick look through mine it say's quote THE MAXIMUM WE WILL PAY UNDER THIS POLICY TO REPATRIATE THE INSURED VEHICLE WILL BE LIMITED TO ITS CURENT MARKET VALUE IN THE UK AREA.
So £2500 for your Scoob is about right then.:rofl::rofl:

worzel 11-05-2010 09:15 PM

£2500 is plenty. No problem.

You could hire a low loader yourself and get it back cheaper than that.

worzel 11-05-2010 09:17 PM

Luckily, due to the gearbox / dif problem, I am taking the ubercruiser. Captain reliable

I will still however get maximum cover. Just because you can't trust other people in powder blue cars not to kill you

That is a good lap for sure, did you notice he went onto the grass in almost exactly the same spot as the Porkie that crashed?

Seen the biker one before, I'm sure he used to say "Evo Driver" before though

Must have been re-dubbed by the MLR

Evo driver indeed. To be honest i would of thought Porche. I know it wasn't in this case but they do cause & are involved in allot of the crashes there. Well besides the Scoobs spinning about & setting on fire that is

 I like this banter before we set off, it was like this last year, just with a bit more nervousness in it.

Bloody Porsches and M3 are probably the main cause of a lot of crashes there, due to the amount of the old "Sausage Munchers" who get there at the weekends.

SpecB 12-05-2010 05:46 PM

Anybody got any idea if the RAC or AA breakdown covers are any good? RAC £35 AA £50?
