Re: NURBURGRING 2010

Right guys, just so you know whats happening, I have e-mailed Jaqueline to ask about the bank holiday and so on.

Because we are looking at potentially 20 cars and maybe a few more yet I have stated that I will insist on ALL people who want to come next year should again pay a deposit in advance. We are potentially looking at booking the hotel just for us after all and I think that it's only fair to play ball with her.

Below is the e-mail I sent her, I will update when she replies.

Hi Jacqueline

Firstly, I would like to say thank you on behalf of everyone who came to the ring and stayed with you at the end of May / Beginning of June. We all had a really great time.

We are in the process of getting things arranged for next year, well in advance because we want to stay with you again. So far we have a list of around 20 cars that want to do the trip.

In the first instant, I was wondering If you were able to advise me on the German bank holidays around that time for next year? As we would prefer to avoid it if possible. Again we are looking end of May / Beginning of June, so what ever suits you best and avoids the bank holiday will be good.

I know that you said that now we've been we wouldn't have to worry about deposits. But I would rather we insist on this as it makes people commit to coming. There would be nothing worse than getting near the time to arrive with you and have 5 or 6 cars pull out and get away scot free. So I will tell everyone that it will be the same as last year and pay up 50% deposit in advance.

I will be sending you a photograph of the final day line up that we took outside the Hotel soon.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards

Steve Green

50% of the hotel costs = 68 euros per night (this years prices) may go up next year ??

Re: NURBURGRING 2010

The advanatge of going on a Bank Holiday is that the track will be open on the Monday.
Until we see the Track Calendar for next year, which won't be available until Jan 2010, we cannot commit to anything.......

I think everyone is getting a bit carried away at the moment.....

P.S wouldn't mind going out for the 24hr Endurance Event and camp on site.

Well said that man. I only started this to get an idea not to commit this early. It's good to see that 20 + would like to go though. Roll on 2010 calendar. Worzel's palace is much better than a tent  i mean who would make my breakfast.

No one will be able to book anything untill the calender for 2010 is published.

You never know when the track may be booked for corporate/testing days etc.

Re: NURBURGRING 2010

Sorry guy's if there has been any confusion on the 2010 Nurburgring trip. None of us will know anything untill the 2010 calendar is out, so please dont book time off work or anything just yet. You can let the wife/girfriend know your off for a long weekend with the lad's :tequila: You may even want to visit the club next door to Slider's for a :acid: & :cath: Instead of going on track, i think afew did  Anyway 2010 isn't to far away. P.s. did i mention it's not untill 2010

Hi people. I have had an e-mail back from Jacqueline in Germany.

As below:

Hello Steve,
I am glad that you all enjoyed yourselves. It was fun having you all here.
I have had a look at the bank holidays and weekend of the 28th May is not a bank holiday.
Would that suit all of you?
Look forward to hearing from you soon again.
Kind regards
Jacqueline

Whose haystack (ladygarden presumably) are you referring to in your ditty??

Excellent news (back on topic).

Re: NURBURGRING 2010

I thought you might like that little ditty :norty:

In case you didn't recognise it, it's the opening line from the Wurzels Classic "I've got a brand new combined harvester"

And just like you, back on topic (or any other choccy bar for that matter) yes, that's good news indeed. I wonder if there is anyway of getting some kind of heads up, as to whether or not there are track days or something going on that weekend.

I will endeavour to find out.

I've had a trawl around with regards to 2010 tracktime etc. And as predicted, there is no information as of yet.

I am going to respond to Jacquies e-mail and ask a couple of questions of her.

For the guy's who went last time they will understand what i mean. When i say It all went a little to quick. So how about go Friday come back on the Tues/Wed. There seems to be aprox 20 names down so far so we would have to split in to 2/3 groups. Im sure some will want to come back on the Monday for work reasons & some that would like to stay a little longer. What do you think? :drive: :drive: :yeah:

I am going to fly down this time and will be hiring a GT3RS

ah hum errrr cough er

Oh bollox i was asleep dreaming again.

So 20 cars going, what we reckon will all 20 make it there.

Def need to all get on same ferry and then split into groups for the journey down, all meet up again once there.

Get your names on the fancy dress list guys and girls

Nige 15-07-2009 02:49 PM

Re: NURBURGRING 2010

Ha! Ha! glad to see im not he only one that dreams of GT3 RS's  You do realise the first guy that dresses up like the stig will be thrown overboard/ or made to buy beer for the weekend.

Re: NURBURGRING 2010

That's Rich's uniform fooked then

I would be up for extending to the Tuesday for sure.

Totally agree with the split into groups thing. We could try to stay together as long as possible, but as long as the 3 groups of whatever stayed together, then thats cool.

Also agree about all being on the same ferry and all trying to board together. That would be very cool 8-)
