:) discs/pads/Brake fluid / oil (engine and box + diff), Plugs, Hardrace roll centre kit, wheel arch liner :| rocker cover gaskets.. (slightly moist so bought 2 kits to replace)

Will be raising the height a little to help with the carousel ;) and a full geometry re-work aswell to boot!!

Hopefully all that should have her tip top for the ring (X fingers)

BIG"E" 27-04-2013 02:05 PM

i feel an AA call coming on.

still if i get through today i can relax, just need to clean car, make fire extinguisher bracket and sort ADAC cover out. then i think i'm done.

Thanks to your wonderful girlfriend you might add helping to chuck it back together. I just hope we didnt leave a pipe off!!!

Getting very excited now

555_Si 17-05-2013 04:54 PM

Well it made it, not without issues, new MAF and radiator hose then remap commenced.

Feels pretty pokey now. Do seem to be loosing a small amount of coolant though and Neil seemed to think the intake hose had a small air leak.

oh well, more to do. Getting excited though.

Steve_PPP 17-05-2013 05:51 PM

Sounds like you're getting there Si :ok:

A week from now and we'll probably have done our first lap or two :D

555_Si 17-05-2013 06:10 PM

I've only got insurance for Saturday and Sunday on track.

ordered Japspeed intake hose on the advice of Neil at Slowboy.

ARB link bar snapped today as well, was hoping plastic one would hold upto my 27mm rear bar, think I was kidding myself,. only thing is this was a make do until final suspension mod gets added after I got back. Now I may have to either get a bugeye 24mm rear bar, or go to 2004 sti rear lateral arms off a saloon which was my long term plan.

this time next week................ we will be exchanging stories over a nice cool pint of Bitburger :more:

Glad you are pretty much sorted Si.

Steve_PPP 17-05-2013 07:17 PM

And i've got two more plastic standard drop links that i removed a couple of years ago - probably done 60k in total. Yours if you want them.

This is the best bit after some laps on the Ring. Get back to the hotel safe, and know that you've got nothing to do all evening except chill, drink some beers, eat some food, and have some laughs. Can't wait.

555_Si 17-05-2013 07:21 PM

yeah, i've dialled in a bit of bum down oversteer handling. though i think a 24mm bar is going to get ordered before the nightis out. 27mm puts a lot of strain on things.
