Anybody want to see if Gary can do us a deal (I'm insured through them anyway) - I'm going to see what RAC charge for European since I'm with them already - what aboiut the guys that cover you for recovery on the ring as well ADAC?

If, as most people have done or are starting to do, you are with Keith Michaels then they do cracking ring insurance, but they won't do it unless you are with them.

Last year, I was with direct line for my insurance so I did the European Breakdown Cover with them too. WHATEVER YOU DO THOUGH!!!!!! Make sure you get covered for re-patriation in that deal whoever you go with!

IIRC, Spunky had his with AA last year and that included repatriation. So I will look down that route myself this time.

Just a quick point guys.

I would like to confirm with Jacqueline in mid April (approx 6 weeks before we go) the final numbers that are going. Obviously the people who have booked the ferries etc are all nailed on going. But there have been a couple of people mentioning they are thinking about going with us.

If you are one of these people, could I ask that you get things in place for around 19th April, so I can call Jacquelline with final numbers.

We currently have 2 slots that have dropped out after the initial call to her, so there are 2 rooms 100% guaranteed at the moment to be filled.

Cheers Y'all

chris1977 17-03-2010 08:28 PM

what are the dates for this and how much is the single room

Crowman 17-03-2010 09:14 PM

Going on 28th May for 4 days cost of room is about 68 Euros per night

Steve_PPP 17-03-2010 09:35 PM

we're staying 3 nights aren't we? Fri/Sat/Sun and then driving back Monday?

If you have a sat nav download the shell garage locations to it via there website. Take some octane booster as a backup as well.

BIG"E" 03-05-2010 11:41 AM

We need a get a meeting of the Ringers organised.

In the very near future. If anyone has forgotten anything they will still have time to sort things out if required.

What about next Sunday 9th??

At Dunnings Mill or another suitable venue.

Steve_PPP 03-05-2010 01:43 PM

i can't make the 9th unless its the evening. it might be easier to make it one evening in the week somewhere, as lots of people already have very busy weekends in the run up to the Ring trip....

Steve_PPP 03-05-2010 05:53 PM

if the place in Tunbridge Wells was good last time, happy to use that again if people want.

So, meetup to discuss the Ring - Thursday 6th May. 8pm-ish?

Attendees are: Steve_PPP, Nige, Big'E'. Who else can make?

SpecB 03-05-2010 06:03 PM

Would love to but T-Wells is a hell of a trip up for me of an evening!

Anger 03-05-2010 06:23 PM

Same here... to long a drive on a school night

Lucky 03-05-2010 06:30 PM

Should be ok for 6th (even tho its my birthday!!). Dont mind where? Guess the fairest thing is the most central point - whereever that may be!
