As above, Simon aka Jollygreenmonster. He is often at Surrey rolling road, so worth pm'ing him and seeing when he is there.

As above Simon is your best bet - I'm up at SRR on the 16th for a remap sure he'll still have spaces.
Not sure it will be an STI lump as the UK300 was a special edition before the STi Bug was released in the UK: The UK300 was a joint project between engineers at Subaru (UK) Limited and Prodrive Limited of Banbury, with major styling work carried out by Peter Stevens who designed the famous McLaren F1 and Subaru WRC rally car. As it name suggests it was uniquely available in the UK and limited to 300 units. Key changes include new headlamps featuring black gloss shells with twin high-intensity Hella light units identical to the Impreza rally car. Sitting above the twin lights are small diameter circular indicators. The new Peter Stevens designed front and rear aerodynamic aids reduce high-speed lift, enhancing tyre grip and handling control. For example, at 100 mph, front lift is reduced from 35.6 lbs to 27.8 lbs while rear lift goes down from 29.6 lbs to 20.7 lbs - a reduction of 25.6 per cent. Only one colour has been specified for the UK300 - WR Blue Mica - which is also extended to the WRX's standard deep side skirts The UK300 also boasts gold-coloured OZ 10-spoke alloy wheels measuring 18 ins by 7.5 ins and carrying the latest 225/40 Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tyres - up from the standard WRX's already generous 17 x 7 ins alloys with 215/45 tyres. Other exterior enhancements include white side indicators and white front markers. Inside, the UK300 features blue suede-effect seats - the front being the rally-style bucket type - plus matching door inserts. The potential collector's car also has special deep-pile carpet and boot mats plus a limited edition numbered plaque. Not only the exterior and interior are upgraded but the engine was fitted with the Prodrive WR Sport package. The secret to the £1,600 Prodrive WR Sport performance pack option is a reprogrammed Electronic Control Unit (ECU), uprated intercooler piping and free-flow exhaust system with a large single tailpipe. Both power and torque have benefitted from the package with a power increase from 218 bhp to 245. Looking at your pics I'd say little of the UK300 remains due to the full Morrette body kit and lights. It's a weird one as I'm not entirely sure its a uk300 either, it has 17" alloys and doesn't have the blue interior, so I'm wondering if someone just added the plaque (its stuck on the dash) and carpet set. I'm trying to find if anyone has number 172 but doesn't have their plaque might be the answer!

It's getting there :)
|
it's getting there! It's all taxed insured and mot'd now so could actually start using it...does look like its just finished a rally stage though?!
Looking forward to rolling roading it soon to see what its running at :BLUGOLD: |
Update :)
Took this to JollyGreenMonster today for a rolling road check on it, the clutch is too far gone to run it on the rolling road but it turns out it has an STi engine and ECU fitted so a bit of an upgrade to what I thought it was running! Just about to drop it off to the bodyshop next week and in the mean time will get searching for a clutch to take it straight to the garage once the paints sorted |
Result with the engine :)
|
I know! Was thinking of finishing this one and selling it to upgrade to an STi, huge bonus to find I've pretty much already got one :yeah:
I'm searching for an Exedy pink clutch kit, can't tell if this is the right one: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Su...705c7f2&000069 |
So since Monday when the Scoob made it to the bodyshop I've gone a bit crazy with the parts buying, it now has ready and waiting to fit:
Exedy clutch kit Godspeed disc brakes/pads/braided hoses all round STi intercooler STi scoop STi instrument cluster Also planning on getting the cambelt done while the clutch is getting fitted, tossing up between full cambelt kit or just the belt itself, whats everyones opinion on that kind of thing? |
Picked the Scooby up from the bodyshop today and took it straight to the garage for its clutch/brakes/intercooler...loadsa stuff!!
Really happy with the results from the bodywork, heres a few before and after (only managed a couple of pics before handing the keys to the garage!): http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/SAM_0773.jpg http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/photo3-1.jpg http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/SAM_0791.jpg http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/SAM_0790.jpg http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/photo1-2.jpg Most impressed with this part: http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/SAM_0786.jpg http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/photo2-2.jpg |
Looking good - think I may try Jago next time mine needs some work last body shop I used didn't do the best job of fitting the spoiler and Dukes while good are blooming expensive!
|
I 100% recommend him, he does a really good job without charging the earth and is a nice guy too, I brought a new scoop I haven't fitted yet too and a couple of days before the car was done asked if he could paint it up too, he did it without charging any extra.
|
Looking good & nice to find out it has the Better engine/ecu. Sounds like your plans are coming together. :EVO:

Good to see the car looking so much better than before! Still not a fan of the rear lights but you've done a good job to fix it up
Thought about de-stickering the bootlid? |
definitely on my list, i don't like the random way the stickers are on there, just need it to stop raining!! When I left it was sunny now i come back its raining all the time!
Might leave the sti one there though, think that one looks ok? |
Also on the list is a wheel refurb or two!
|
As I said, love the angry pig, and few finishing touches left :)
|
Kenwood 8220bt now in :)
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/DSC_0090.jpg |
Awesome, did you get the door speakers done at the same time? And where did you put the microphone?
|
The speakers aren't done yet, next on the list!
The microphone is up at the top of the a pillar next to the immobiliser sensor thingy |
Still to do: speakers/desticker boot/rear lights/remap!!
Just wondering on peoples opinion of its value as it stands? I am off to France again from June through to September for work and may not be able to take the scooby :( Wondering if I should sell it/keep it but it'd be sat for the whole time, but if I were to sell it I'd want it to be worth it as I've put a lot of time into getting it back on the road and would prefer to enjoy it! |
Personally i would keep it for all the hard work you have put into it so far and for the plans you still have in mind, september will come round quick enough and you'll be soon back to enjoy it before you know it. :ok:
|
True, I have a huge soft spot for it as it's nice to know I helped to keep it "alive".
Was also thinking having done all the big things like clutch/cambelt etc I should keep it as if I got something different when I got back and the cambelt snapped or something I'd kick myself. Should book it for a remap when I get back too so there's even more to look forward to! |
keep it..you seem like youve thrown alot of love at this aswell as wedge!!
be nice to come home to...even better if you get to tear it up across the water.!:norty: |
I'm hoping I'll be allowed to drive it over...there are a few decent tunnels on the way!!
The issue is where to keep it, I'm checking out if I'd be allowed to keep it on site but its a private villa that crazy rich people rent and they're going to want their supercars on show  Thanks for the replies, made me definitely want to keep it..worst comes to worst I'll have to leave it in the capable hands of my father :angst: (he drives like a nutter?!) |

I'd keep it if you can. Being completely honest, its only going to be worth around the £3k - £3.5k mark at best. The fact that its had damage will devalue it and its not really going to hold any extra value for being a uk300 considering its not got the original lights/rear spoiler/front splitter and looks so different from a uk300 now.
|
So today, despite a killer hangover, I decided to tidy up the bootlid a bit to get rid of the random stickers all over it!
Started like this: http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...DSC_0053-1.jpg To this: http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/DSC_0117.jpg And managed to get this far before my hangover got the better of me: http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/DSC_0118.jpg Will fight the rest of the glue gunk another day! |
looks a lot tidier already!!
|
Bit of tardis and the glue will come off.
make sure to re wax/protect where the letters were, as they will be bare. |
Some pre sticker removing Berocca and Alka Seltzer would of set you up for the whole day!!
|
love the car mate but HATE the tat rear lights :vom:
