Will have to look into all the costs though, in terms of insurance, breakdown cover etc. I'm pretty sure my insurance company (A-Plan) don't cover the ring, so whats the best thing to do? Any recommendations for track day insurance?

I got mine through Keith Micheals insurance mate,was £70 i think.Breakdown wise i got AA cover for the period i was there,was about £35 if i remember rightly.

You will need this guy's. http://www.norfolkline.com/ Leaving Dover for Dunkirk 8am 29h May. Return From Dunkirk to Dover 8pm aprox £50. Ive already booked this. Even if you havent sorted your accomodation yet the ferry needs booking asap. Just to make sure we start this trip as a group. Nige :drive: :yeah:

Looks good Nige,
My only reservation is the time of the return ferry 20.00hrs.
I think that an earlier one would be better for me I would prefer to get home earlier,
thats a long day for me. :oldman: wouldnt get home untill 22.30 ish. :nod:

Other's may want to leave for an early'r ferry. I posted & booked 8pm as it gives us plenty of time to get to Dunkirk. Im sure the ferry comp wont mind if you turned up early'r than your booked time. 8pm This allows for people who may get lost :doh: or for breakdowns, punctures, POLICE & other unexpected delays. Better if we all left together so we can help each other out on route. Nige :drive:

From a personal point of view having been on many trips small is beautiful.
They can all visit the SES site.
If you get to many it can muck things up especially when going from A-B, in towns etc.

Not that I want to put anyone off, BUT :

Optional extras available at additional cost include armco repairs, safety car attendance, vehicle recovery, track closure, hospital stays and helicopter rides. I recommend avoiding these. If you can't, then the following price-list may help:

Base fee for attendance of armco truck: €150
Removing damaged armco: €10/metre (x2 or x3 or x4 for multiple-height sections)
Replacement armco: €31/metre (x2 or x3 for double/triple height)
Removing damaged armco posts: €5.10 each
Replacing armco post: €39 each
Safety car attendance: €82 per 30 mins (car + 2 people)
Circuit closure: €1,350 per hour
Recovery truck: €190 (inc VAT)
Hospital stay & air ambulance: Let's just say, do NOT go there without travel insurance! (Though a European Health Card - which replaced the E111 - may cover the hospital bit.)
Everything except the recovery truck is then subject to 19% VAT.
